It’s Sunday night! Time to gear up for a new week. As always, the best way to do that is to PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD (Ephesians 6:10-18) but we also will focus on ONE area to strengthen our walk with the Lord. Just one focus to help us grow a faith that cannot fade with the demands of life and the pressures of this world. This week we will focus on MOUNTING UP!

Harness the horses, mount the steeds! Take your positions with helmets on! Polish your spears, put on your armor! Jeremiah 46:4

There are many instances in the Bible when we are told to mount up, the Lord mounts up, others mount up…it brings up an image of a strong soldier or Wild West lawman going into battle with the full weight of the law on their side.

When we mount up, we have the full weight of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit on our side and we cannot fail.

The only time we falter is when we forget to mount up in Christ and try to do it in our power instead.

It’s like throwing a toddler overboard with dollar store floaties vs. an official life vest.

Mount up in Christ this week. Remember from whence your power comes and stand your ground.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
