Wanna know what media moved me this month?
Head here to find out!
Step If You Blessed is THE song that got me motivated to start exercising and taking charge of my health once again. Unlike my favorite country songs, which reminded me of a time (and BODY) looooong gone, this song made me see a future in which I was once again comfortable in my own skin.
Never a big fan of hip-hop before, for some reason I love Christian hip-hop!
For my movie this month, I chose an older one that we got when PureFlix still sent dvds in the mail. I know you’re thinking, THAT OLD?!! But it’s only from 2014. Because even though everyone else was streaming by then, PureFlix still catered to those of us living in the middle of nowhere with wi-fi. At least until 2015!
This movie is about a girl named Cara who reluctantly transfers to a new high school. Her attitude changes when she meets a boy (Ben Davies). She also unexpectedly befriends a Christian girl with down syndrome whose name is Grace. Lastly, she begins to hang out with two of the most popular girls in school, who just happen to look down on Grace. These three situations all clash at Homecoming and the dramatic results for all involved is that their lives will be forever touched by…Grace.
For my book choice I selected a kids’ devotional this month. It is written by Sarah Young of the Jesus Calling devotionals. Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions For Kids is written in language kids understand as if Jesus was talking directly to them. Each devotion ends with further Bible reading that relates to that day’s topic.
We must instill in our children and grandchildren NOW the importance of reading God’s Word so that it will become an ingrained habit as they grow older.
I hope you enjoy these!
As always, if you missed a month, the media choices can always be found in the Archives on the Media page.
