Romans 12:19: Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

Ephesians 5:11: Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

When is it taking the Lord’s vengeance into your own hands and when is it exposing darkness?

I’m struggling with this today. I’m ready to call it all out publicly. Every sex crime, murderous plot, illegal business practice, wolf in sheep’s clothing…I’ve been bringing unrepented wickedness to the foot of the cross for years and standing on Romans 12:19. Maybe I should’ve been practicing Ephesians 5:11 instead.

I honestly don’t know sometimes if keeping my mouth shut is of God…or of the devil. Is the power in speaking up…or in the silence?
