The Blind Side

I got blindsided today. It wasn’t something I even remotely saw coming and it completely knocked the wind out of me.

But only for a moment.

You see, I’m no longer repeating the patterns that used to derail me. Whether Satan is throwing up a roadblock or God is closing a door, I know beyond a shadow of doubt that the Lord is in control of it all.

If it’s Satan attacking, I’ll just kick back and let the Lord fight the battle. (Exodus 14:14)

If the Lord is closing a door, I’ll step back quickly so my toes don’t get bruised. (Revelation 3:7)

If man is shutting a door God opened, I need only be patient and wait for Him to activate the automatic device for it to fly back open on its own. (Revelation 3:8)

And if He is merely testing me, I have failed enough practice tests to feel confident that I can begin passing them now. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Because when your steps, and your heart, are so firmly in rooted in Christ, you can withstand ALL things, even the painful ones.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
