Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8
This was the theme song at the retreat I went to last week. We listened to it several times throughout the weekend and it landed deep in my heart.
One line from the Red Rocks Worship lyrics stood out the most to me:
That You love me and You are for me
And You hold nothing back from me
God is never the one standing in our way. We do that ourselves when we put selfish desires before Him. We quench the Spirit when we allow seeds of evil to creep in. Unforgiveness, bitterness, guilt, regret…are all Satan’s tools to separate us from Christ.
He is FOR us. If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
Imagine a chef has prepared a gourmet meal for you. He’s laid out a beautiful spread on white linens with the finest china as the glow of candlelight bathes the feast. But you are too tired to get out of your recliner so you stare at the banquet from the other room and complain about how hungry you are.
Come taste and see…
The Lord isn’t going to DoorDash His Spirit to you. You have to come to Him.
Just one word, just one touch
From You and I believe….
Just grazing the hem of His garment in faith (Matthew 9:20-22; Luke 8:43-48) is all it takes for you to be completely healed- physically, mentally, or in your faith.
