I’m learning how to fully rest in the Lord. Not only that, I’m learning what it means to rest in Him.

I always thought it was forgetting about your problems for awhile and just floating on a cloud in your mind.

It’s actually quite the opposite.

Resting in the Lord is standing in front of your problems and completing the tasks at hand while completely relying on the Holy Spirit to comfort you through the difficulty.

It is going through the trials of life without losing your joy and your peace.

Smiling when your heart is crying inside feels like a facade. Yet with Christ it becomes genuine. Even in the valley we are lifted up when we learn to rest in Him.
